58 coveted gold bracelets will be handed out to winners this year, which is one more than last year. The tournament will start on May 31, 2011. The first open bracelet tournament will be a brand new event: the $25,000 Heads-Up No Limit Hold'em Championship. It is open for 256 players.
Just to highlight a few important facts, here's the outline of this year's most notable events:
The culmination of the Main Event will be held from November 5-7 with the November Nine, one of whom will take down the Main Event trophy.
If you plan to play at the WSOP this year, but don't have enough to pay the buy-in, or want to participate in a smaller event, you can enter qualifiers, which are offered from May 30 - July 10.
